sky is the limit. The website will be THE resource for users to get
the most from these technologies.
So, after this incredible year, what’s next?Well, if the past is any
indication, Sirona will continue to invest and produce incredible
technology. Software updates will be happening; companies such
as 3M, Ivoclar and Vita will be bringing materials to a CEREC
arena that will be instrumental in treating our patients.
For us at cerecdoctors.com, we are excited for what the new
year will bring. The website will bring almost instantaneous
resources to any CEREC user: from the novice taking their first
intraoral digital impression and fabricating their first restoration,
to the seasoned veteran who uses Galileos and CEREC technolo-
gies to place a guided implant and fully restore it, implant abut-
ment and implant restoration, fabricated in their office.
And, of course,
cerecdoctors.com
magazinewill continue to bring
you the best information concerning CEREC technology and all
its incredible uses. While we have been honored to be a part of an
incredible year, we are evenmore excited about what we can bring
to you next year to help enhance your CEREC experience.

2012
Was Big. 2013Will Be Even Bigger.
An Incredible Year
as this is the last issue of the year, i want
to reflect on what has happened, and look ahead
to what will be happening in 2013.
Personally, the year started out with a big
move. My wife and I moved to Scottsdale, Ariz.,
where I bought a practice. With an increase in
classes at Scottsdale Center, I had been in Arizona
more often. Now, even though my frequent-flyer status has been
reduced, I do not miss flying back and forth between Sarasota,
Fla., and Scottsdale.
As I mentioned, more classes have been added at the Center.
The cerecdoctors.com Mentor Group now tops out at 300
members. Throughout the year, special field trips were attended
by the mentors, and they all were well received. More is planned
for the group next year, including a highly anticipated trip to
Germany to attend the International Dental Show (IDS) and to
tour companies involved with CEREC technology.
The cerecdoctors.com website had an incredible traffic
increase over the year. In the beginning of the year, the site was
primarily helping users maximize the new 4.0 software release.
Undoubtedly, it is now helping those who have the new, incred-
ible Omnicam utilize this technology in treating their patients.
Another interesting change within the website —which speaks
to the evolving of technology — is that at this time last year, most
topics were pertaining to CEREC chairside technology: restoring
patients’ existing dentitions. While these types of procedures
are still discussed, today there are also more inLab software
discussions taking place. Along with Dr. Michael Skramstad’s
on-campus, hands-on learning workshops, users are begin-
ning to see the full range of possibilities for restorative dentistry
utilizing CEREC technology. And, with the continued integra-
tion of CEREC, especially Omnicam with Galileos Imaging, the
