going to commit to the technology that weekend. I won’t spoil
the ending; you’ll just have to read the article to find out the
rest of his story. Meanwhile, if you want to know more about
this program, check out
.
So, once you have committed to investing in this
technology, you will want to know how to use
it better. Dr. Bobby Chagger has a very inter-
esting article on the daily use of the CEREC
technology. He examines a method to image
with the Omnicam to ensure a correct build of
models and how and where to take the buccal bite.
Of course, another great way of bettering your CEREC experi-
ence is to check in on the discussion boards at cerecdoctors.com
and to attend hands-on training in Scottsdale at the Spear
Campus. Courses are continually being updated to guarantee
one is learning the latest about the CEREC technology.
A lot of times after one waits for something for a period
of time, there can be a letdown … a sense of disappointment.
Our intent is to make sure you never have any disappoint-
ment with this technology. Whether it is the magazine, our
website or hands-on courses, we look forward to helping you
be successful with CEREC.

i know; the headline for this editor’s letter could be
referring to a lot of things — especially at the beginning of a year.
January brings about much anticipation concerning any
number of things. People have spent the last few weeks or
months waiting for one year to come to an end and another to
begin. There are so many different things that we have been
waiting for. The song from the ketchup commercial plays
through one’s head: “ANTICIPATION!”
If you have been to the cerecdoctors.com message boards
lately, you knowwhat I am talking about. A few recurring ques-
tions have been asked again and again: “Is it out yet?” “Does
anyone know when it will be released in the United States?”
Well, once again, the wait for another
release of material is over, and the
answers to these questions are
finally available.
Ivoclar Vivadent’s
IPS e.max CAD abutment blocks
have arrived!
Utilizing Sirona’s TiBase system
and the latest CEREC chairside soft-
ware, these blocks allow for even
more possibilities in restorative
dentistry using CEREC technology.
And the even better news is that, in
this very issue, we have several articles that describe some of
those possibilities.
I know I am stating the obvious, but before one can use this
technology, one needs tomake the decision to invest in it. If you
find yourself having difficultly taking the leap, great help can
be found by attending a CEREC Accept Program. Our Doctor
Profile features a dentist who took advantage of this very
program. I was with Dr. Bastian the night before the program
he attended in early 2012. He told me there was no way he was
Our intent is to make sure you
never have any disappointment
with this technology.
