In conclusion, the use of CAD/CAM
technology in the hospital operating
room setting allows the dentist to
provide “state-of-the-art” restorative
dentistry with excellent clinical appli-
cation for patients requiring treatment
under general anesthetic.
Decreasing the cost and risk of a
secondary hospital operating room
visit are also advantages to this level of
care. Hospital dental practices should
consider implementing this technology
into their listing of services offered.
