ments to the CEREC platform. With the International Dental
Show (the largest dental trade show in the world) scheduled
for March in Köln, Germany, Sirona will no doubt debut more
exciting software updates for the CEREC system.
In anticipation of all these updates, cerecdoctors.com has
scheduled another seminar for June 2015 where users will learn
all about these newupdates.Wewill showcase all the latest tech-
niques, procedures and materials that will be shown at the IDS
meeting and present it to all the CEREC owners in attendance.
The final seminar already scheduled
will be for CEREC owners focusing on
implant dentistry. We will concentrate
not only on the placement of implants
with the CEREC-guided technology but
also on the restorative options that the
CEREC system allows.
All seminars scheduledwill be in addi-
tion to the hands-on workshops that
are scheduled in 2015. The workshops
have been a staple of education ever
since their launch in 2007 at the Spear
Campus. The most exciting feature of
these seminars will be that they will
feature live, on-stage patient treatment.

with the passing of 2014, yet another year has gone by with
all CEREC users having the opportunity to witness another
great series of updates to their CAD/CAM platform. Sirona
continues to impress users and the industry alike with its
updates and improvements to the CEREC system. Those that
remained active with www.cerecdoctors.com saw all the new
features well before the updates hit the general public.
Throughout this year, CEREC users witnessed the release
of the 4.3 software that provided Omnicam users with unprec-
edented ease of intraorally imaging. While there were many
other advancements in the 4.3 update —
including the ability to open the vertical
dimension of occlusion on models, addi-
tional materials to mill and much more
— no doubt that this ease of Omnicam
imaging was the greatest enhancement
for the everyday user.
Imaging with the Omnicam is so easy
now that full-arch scanning has become
routine. In fact, the new CEREC Ortho
software, which takes advantage of this
ease of scanning, is planned for release
any day (as of the print of this publica-
tion). The CEREC Ortho software will
allow users to enhance the offerings to
their patients with their CEREC system
so as not to limit it to just restorative and
implant dentistry.
We expect CEREC users to jump
all over this new orthodontic soft-
ware that will allow them to offer all
kinds of added services to their prac-
tices. Companies such as ClearCorrect
and Great Lakes Ortho are already
accepting CEREC scans to fabricate
all sorts of removable aligners and
retainers.
The interest in this software has been
so great that in March 2015, cerecdoc-
tors.com is hosting a two-day seminar
for CEREC owners on how to use the
CEREC Ortho software and implement
its use in their practices.
