The pt. was okay with it since it wasn’t off in color that
much and it beat the heck out of the flipper she had been
wearing.
Notice the under-contouring at the cervical. This is to
promote the tissue to migrate coronally. Will it work? Don’t
know at this point. If we look at it in the mouth, we can see
where our proposed CEJ is going to be. This serves two
purposes. One is by under-contouring we hope to get some
tissue to creep up and match #8. If it doesn’t, then we have a
point of reference for when we go in to do the second CTG
to gain some more bulk and coronal tissue. Sorry about the
debris, I will post a follow-up photo without the junk in it
when she comes back in three to four weeks.

This has probably already been addressed, but I
thought the TelioCAD abutment blocks for screw-
retained provisional implant crowns were supposed to be
released to the U.S. at the October Symposium. That apparently
did not happen?WHENwill it happen? I really like provisional-
izing implant crowns, but don’t like themulti stages of TiBase
(e-Max :( ), fire time, CEMENT under compromised recently
surgerized gingiva. Any updated news on its U.S. release?

There was never any promise for a release date
in October. Still needs FDA approval, maybe next
year sometime.
