Master 4M and 5M come in three different chroma levels and
are used as such, depending on the choice of porcelain. Chroma
level 3 is recommended for zirconia-based restorations, and levels
2 and 3 are suggested for lithium disilicate and PFM ceramics,
respectively.
The three levels enable Matching 3-D shades with Vita classic
blocks. The three different levels also allow for increasing and
decreasing the restoration’s color value without having to neces-
sarily load on the color. The three levels are distinguished by adding
varying amounts of clear glaze, base on the provided instructions, to
the base-shade color. Smoke 3 is negative shading colors to reduce
value and simulate translucency, and can be used when adjusting
for a dark zone that appears to have color in it. White is available in
high chroma for representing decalcified areas. Blue will allow for
the appearance of translucency on incisal tips. Glaze can be applied
by brush, is water clear and should be applied thin. It can also be
applied by Indenco’s new Fluorescent Spray Glaze (Fig. 2).
a new dimension to our esthetic capabilities. This system of shades
and stains, when used with monochromatic blocks such as e.max
or Celtra Duo, result in an extraordinary appearance of depth and
improved natural illumination of the restoration after firing.
This refraction illumination adds natural vitality and is the only
system for monolithic restorations that actually enhances depth of
translucency to milled ceramic restorations. Indenco’s Polychro-
matic frits are composed of individual, crystal-clear recrystal-
lizing ceramics. The particles containmultispectral color particles
sintered on each crystal exterior. This allows for a polychro-
matic illumination for that particular shade. The system actually
replaces the missing colors to achieve the desired esthetic effect
rather than “painting on” a new color.
The Polychromatic Frit Palette (Fig. 1), when ordered from
Indenco, comes pre-mixed in a ceramic palette with varying
levels of shades and stains. (The stains are also currently avail-
able in syringe delivery). Smoke and Incisal and Vita A-D and 3-D
