OCCLUSAL CLEARANCE AND HEIGHT
OF THE TIBASE ON A SPLIT CASE
When working on shorter teeth and the
casemustbesplit,thereisachancethatthe
TiBase will sit up over the abutment, and
the crownwill not bemilled to account for
the TiBase sticking up over it. This can be
corrected by adjusting the TiBase after it
has the abutment seated (Figs. 10-12).

The pin is used to support the object fix.
The pin should not touch the abutment
block (Figs. 13-14).

AMOUNT OF TISSUE PRESSURE
EXERTED BY THE ABUTMENT
OR CROWN
Turn the restoration transparent to see
when you penetrate the gingiva. Scale the
restoration back as needed. Too much
tissue pressure may cause either the
abutment not to seat, or to cause reces-
sion. If the abutment cannot seat, then a
releasing incision is needed to place the
abutment (Fig. 15).
