tooth and put a wing on the adjacent
tooth. Without CEREC, I never would
have had this thought process.
whathascerectaughtyouabout
dentistry?
Paul: I’m a better dentist today than I
was four years ago.
Aaron:ALOT. It’s taughtme that crown
and bridge can actually be conservative.
whatwasyourcerec“lightbulb”
moment?
Paul: I think I have one almost weekly.
Every time I take a patient back and
they get to watch their restoration being
milled. It’s fun to see their reaction.
Aaron: Every time I seat a restoration
and it fits perfectly, like a puzzle piece.
It’s like you’re cheating.
what’sthebestpieceofadviceyou

Paul: Never stop learning. Don’t stop
participating inthe training.Watchvideos,
listen to other docs.
Aaron: Everyone has something to offer
and you can learn fromall of them.

Aaron: (
Looking at his dad
) Never stop
learning.
Paul: Smooth preps equals everything
will seat better.

Paul:Thathappenedacoupleyearsago.My
computer went down for two days! That’s
when I found we were victims of our own
success. I had patients refusing to come in
if they couldn’t get their crown done in the
same day. I hadmy twoworst days ever.
whatdoyoulikebestaboutthe
acceptprogram?
Paul: The Accept program wasn’t around
when I started with CEREC but, being a
Mentor, I get to see the impact it has. It is
great for people to get hands-on experi-
ence before they buy. These machines are
a huge investment. Accept gives them an
opportunity to test-drive the equipment
and see how it will benefit their practice
AND their patients.
whatwouldyoutellsomeone

program?
Paul: Should you go? Absolutely! Just last
week I encouraged a new dentist in town
to join me at the next Accept meeting.
