doing “ortho” through multiple crowns
and repositioning them into the arch.
Although they can be difficult cases, this
allows me to improve the patient’s smile
and their ability to feel confident, which
is extremely rewarding.

away, youwould…?
Dr. Dale Finkbine: I believe that wewould
bothagree that a very valuablepieceof our
armamentariawould be lost. Our ability to
offer every choice to our patients would
be compromised. The CEREC definitely
benefits those patients that we have who
travel with their work since they are only
available on a short-time basis, or those
who need to have a crown finished in time
for a special occasion.
whathascerectaughtyouabout
dentistry?
Dr. Dale Finkbine: CEREC has taught us
that youcangivepatients alternatives and
then provide a permanent restoration of
excellent quality in just one appointment.
what’sthebestpieceofadviceyou
cangiveothercerecusers?
Dr. Dale Finkbine: We would highly
recommend that all CEREC users take
the cerecdoctors.com curriculum for
direct training in addition to local study
clubs. The more information you can
get, whether from cerecdoctors.com,
video tutorials, etc., the better. We are
well aware that the machine is capable
of much more than we have been able to
master thus far.
whatwasyourcerec“lightbulb”

Dr. Dale Finkbine: Neither of us feel that
we had a specific “light bulb” moment.
The software for basic procedures is
fairly self-explanatory — or at least with
minimal trainingor tutorials.Tobeable to
explore different modifications requires
a little more hands-on experience and it
is a constant learning process. The more
techniques we master, the more excited
we get about learning even more.
whatwasthemostusefulpieceof
cerecadviceyoueverreceived?
Dr. Megan Finkbine: The best advice that
I received was to be patient, trust the
computer and don’t try to cut corners.
If the computer detects a problem, espe-
cially if it says that an area is too thin,
believe it.

yourdecision?
Dr. Dale Finkbine: Accept was the true
decision-maker for me. To actually be
able to put into action everything that you
hear and thensee the resultwas awesome.
I was truly like a little kid with a new toy.
Dr.MeganFinkbine: I didnot attend the
Accept course, but our local Sirona repre-
sentative came and did a lunch-and-learn
with our office so that I would have the
opportunity to learn about it as well.
whatdidyoulikebestabout
theacceptprogram?
Dr. Dale Finkbine: I felt that the step-
by-step instruction given was beneficial.
I learn better by seeing and then doing
immediately, rather than listening to an
entire lecture and not doing anything
until the next day. Having a hands-on
experience helps you to better under-
stand the entire process.
whatwouldyoutellsomeone

theacceptprogram?
Dr. Dale Finkbine: I would say that there
is no possible way to make a decision
of this magnitude without attending an
Accept program. The knowledge that is
received and the product produced are
unsurpassed. The hands-on attitude of
all the mentors and the instructors help
you realize how much support you will
receive in the future.
