, and increase predictability in stability-critical
treatment protocols.
The 2014 launch of the Straumann Bone Level
Tapered (BLT) implant completed the Straumann
portfolio, and gives clinicians evenmore treatment
options. The BLT implant features the established
and clinically proven Roxolid material, SLActive
surface, Bone Control Design, Consistent Emer-
gence Profiles and CrossFit Connection together
with its corresponding prosthetic CrossFit
components from the Bone Level Implant
product portfolio. It has a tapered apex
with three cutting notches, which makes
this implant particularly suitable for situ-
ations involving soft bone or fresh extrac-
tion sockets where primary stability is key.
The shape, surface and material combi-
nation are designed to deliver primary
stability in all bone classes, making the
Straumann Bone Level Tapered Implant
ideal for immediate placement and loading,
even in challenging protocols. The tapered form enables place-
ment in the underprepared osteotomy. It also gives you the flex-
ibility to be able to treat patients with limited anatomy such as
facial undercuts, converging root tips, concave jaw structure or
narrow atrophied ridges. We plan to introduce the guided instru-
ments for BLT implants in April 2016.
Straumann Restorative Solutions offer a broad customized

needs. Flexible, simple and reliable — these three words are the
core of our diverse restorative solutions offering. Tissue level
and bone level solutions not only offer both screw-retained and
cement-retained restorative options, but also span the continuum
of straightforward solutions to customized care through CARES
CADCAM abutments, allowing you to select the ideal solution for
each individual patient situation.
HOW ARE STRAUMANN IMPLANTS DIFFERENT THAN
OTHER IMPLANT MANUFACTURERS’?
What makes us different? Straumann has won the confidence of
its customers with this promise: a strong foundation of scientific
and clinical evidence supporting the specialization, reliability and
simplicity that define every Straumann solution. With more than
3,000 published peer-reviewed studies, along with what has been
learned in more than 60 years of research in various scientific
fields, Straumann products have demonstrated their long-
term effectiveness through research studies following
good clinical practice. This reliability made the
Straumann Dental Implant System one of the most
widely used systems in the world with millions of
implants sold.
