In the following, I have outlined a
recent case that allowed me to perform
just this type of dentistry. My hope is
that you will be inspired to integrate
same-day cosmetic dentistry into your
practice and reap all the benefits avail-
able to both dentist and patient.

Case Study
This patient is a public speaker who has
visited a dentist regularly for many years.
While he has had many concerns with
his smile, he failed to voice them, and his
prior dentist failed to ask. When I asked,
“If you could change anything about your
smile, what would it be?” his response
was, “Everything.” Somewhat surprised
with his answer, a discussion began
about his complaints with his smile since
he was in grade school. This step is vital,
as clear communication between dentist
and patient is essential for a result that is
pleasing to everyone. This patient has a
missing lateral, a protrusive canine and
a busy schedule, perfect for a same-day
CEREC cosmetic case.
I set aside Fridays for cosmetic cases.
This eliminates distractions, letting me
focus on that patient and allowing for
my best care.
