QUARTER 2

2016 1
For this issue, I had the distinct pleasure of interviewing not one, but two, prominent individuals
in the CEREC world. Both are forging the future for CEREC users and are also great colleagues
that I have had the privilege of knowing for many years. Dr. Mike Ditolla is the director of clinical affairs for
Dentsply Sirona, and Mr. Ingo Zimmer is head of all CAD/CAMmarketing for Dentsply Sirona.
I wanted to have this interview because these are the people who are in charge of putting onwhat will likely
be a great meeting: SiroWorld.
SiroWorld is an annual meeting hosted by Dentsply Sirona. What was once a dedicated meeting for all
CEREC users, SiroWorld has evolved into a gathering to showcase not only the advances in CAD/CAM, but
also the advances in all aspects of dentistry. In this regard, both Ingo and Mike have worked hard to put
together an all-star lineup that they give us more insight into.

CAN YOU PLEASE DESCRIBE YOUR ROLE AT
DENTSPLY SIRONA AND YOUR DAY-TO-DAY DUTIES?
ingozimmer:
As thedirector ofClinicalCAD/CAM,
I work closely with various stakeholders: from the
CEREC marketing team, to Product Management
andR&DinGermany, to customers andKOLs, aswell
as dentists who have not invested in the technology
yet. The goal is to help create the most amazing
experience with our CEREC product portfolio.
I’ve been with the company for more than 12 years,
working in our Bensheim, Germany, facility in R&D
before taking the leap across the pond five years ago
to join the most incredible team at Dentsply Sirona.
