Jason Eaglin, D.D.S.
Business Man Meets Dentist
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN PRACTICE?
I have been practicing dentistry 10 years.
In 2005, upon graduation, I accepted an associate position in
Hinesville, Ga., with a wonderful doctor and team. During my two
years as an associate, I developed my skill, increased my speed to
a healthy pace and had the opportunity to learn a great deal from
the doctor I worked for.
As in every workplace, the experience also came with its chal-
lenges. Yet overall it was a blessing. The desire and motivation of
establishing myself as a solo practitioner began in 2007. By the fall
of 2007, I purchased my first practice in Jonesboro, Ga., and affec-
tionately named it Eaglin Family Dentistry. After a total remodel
project at our first year anniversary, a second opportunity came.
I invested in a practice for sale in Fayetteville, Ga., about 15 miles
away from the Jonesboro location.
By the end of 2010, we acquired our third office in Johns Creek,
Ga., and also rebranded our practice as Eaglin Dental Group
(EDG). In 2013, I partnered with a great friend and orthodontist
and opened our fourth location within the heart of the Atlanta,
where the two practices co-exist.
WHAT IS THE SIZE OF YOUR PRACTICE?
OurJonesboro locationserves approximately2,500regularpatients,
while our Fayetteville office regularly treats about 1,500; John’s
Creek serves 375 and our Midtown office serves 350 regularly.
HOW MANY OPERATORIES DO YOU HAVE?
Our Jonesboro location has three individual operatories with a
three-chair hygiene bay area. The Fayetteville, Johns Creek and
Midtown offices each consist of five operatories. All operators are
readily in use.
WHAT TYPE OF DENTISTRY DO YOU DO?
We practice dentistry on a fairly broad spectrum. With state-
of-the art equipment, coupled with dental technology, EDG
provides hygiene treatments, periodontics, minor and major
restorative procedures, endodontics (some aspects treated by
my associate(s)), prosthodontics, oral surgery, cosmetic services
and laser procedures. In the near future, I’m very interested in
providing implant services, sedation dentistry and orthodontics.
Additionally, we would like to offer more services in several of the
areas we already provide our patients.
WHY WAS CEREC YOUR CAD/CAM CHOICE?
Well, I compared CEREC to other CAD/CAM units and realized
that CEREC provided my practice with undeniable same-day
(single-visit) dentistry with the advantage of its utility. The strong
community CEREC maintains, active support and relationship
with my CEREC specialist through Patterson and Sirona also
played major roles in finalizing my decision and selection.
HOW DOES THIS TECHNOLOGY FIT INTO YOUR OFFICE PHILOSOPHY?
Offering our patients up-to-date treatment through technology
is actually stated in our vision statement. Therefore, the tech-
nology of CEREC is a great asset to our practice because it aids in
supporting what we stand for, believe in and live out as a dental
practice providing optimumdental care to our invaluable patients.
HOW DOES CEREC IMPACT YOUR PRACTICE AND THE REST OF YOUR LIFE?
CEREC has impacted my practice and life greatly. Generally,
CEREC provides us the option of serving our patients with same-
day, state-of-the-art dentistry. Both my amazing team and faithful
patients display a greater excitement and intrigue when it comes
to involving CEREC procedures with patient treatment. Patients
in particular are more advantageous in beginning and completing
treatment the same day.
The convenience and time-saving quality CEREC technology
provides our patients greatly benefits our treatment-case accep-
tance across our multiple office locations. For me, it’s height-
ened my passion, interest and commitment to the profession of
dentistry I’ve had since my childhood.
I never imagined back when I decided to become a dentist in
the fourth grade, that this was the right path for me, or the distinct
impact that both innovation and technology would have on my
own dental career, primarily the value of CEREC.
