Possibly, but that can only be controlled by drill
length, and they are only so long. You would have
to bring that to the mill phase to see if the hole filled in or not.
ROSS ENFINGER
Wow, this is a fairly inconvenient step backwards.
Don’t get me wrong, CG2 has a lot of improve-
ments over the original, but having to take a physical model
for an immediate implant still leaves us in the analog world
like CG1 did. Mike or Farhad: what does SICAT have in terms
of software that we don’t have in Galaxis which allows them
to put the guide sleeve over a tooth that is in the virtual model
but is planned for extraction?
JOHN PASICZNYK
I second this ...
Have a few coming up where I would love to be
able to plan the immediate implant with the tooth in place.
I just assumed we would be able to place the sleeve in the
spot where the tooth is currently. Also, seems strange that we
can place a sleeve at or below bone level but not in the space
where a crown exists. Or maybe I misunderstood this part
as well.

Following this thread closely. Look forward to
answers to the same questions I have.
MARKO AHONEN
If you can handle virtual extraction then this
becomes a pretty easy job. Remember to copy
the original information (without virtual wax up) to Biocopy
folder so you can make sure that you
haven’t erased any areas from the adja-
cent tooth. This is important!
This was my first CG 2.0 case, and
I did it yesterday flapless. There were
caries under #5. Astra osseospeed TX
